internship season is approaching!

applications are opening. here’s the checklist:

1. resume: clean, short, relevant. include side projects and non-tech experience, and tailor it to each role.
2. portfolio: put projects on GitHub, GitLab or a personal site, with documented code and a live demo if you can.
3. data structures and algorithms: practice a little every day. writing solutions on paper builds recall.
4. networking: tech communities, meetups and LinkedIn.
5. behavioral interviews: prepare stories about teamwork, problem-solving and resilience.
6. cover letter: optional, but a custom one shows real interest.
7. mock interviews: practice with friends, mentors or a practice platform.
8. self-care: exercise, sleep and fun still count during the search.
